AI Expo 2012

Chibi Ai-Chan- official AI Expo Logo design by Audrey San Juan

The first hobbyist convention was launched last year in May by the same organization that has brought you a lot of otaku events in the city of Love. Anigumi Joukai was indeed very happy and so much fulfilled to organize a convention here.

AI Expo 2012 was a week long celebration and gathering of otakus and hobbyist around the city. It was from May 14-19, 2012 at Amigo Mall Plaza. There were art and cosplay photo exhibits all throughout the week. There were selling booths too. The highlight of the event was friday and saturday which were the last two days of the event.

The event was a success but it wouldn't be one if it weren't for the booths and affiliates who were there to support it.

Gerald Angelo AvendaƱo, the owner of My Little Prince Shop, came all the way from Manila to grace the event. He brought along with him, Jayne Ong's Hatah hatah to Iloilo.

Other sellers were:

Aside from selling booths, AI Expo 2012 also had exhibits.

  • Iloilo Toy & Comic Collectors, commonly known as ITCC displayed their arrays of collection from Bishoujos to Gundams, etc.
  • Magic Iloilo, the magic cards the gathering enthusiasts were also there. Free Cards Giveaways!!!

We are now on our second year. Wonder what will take place this time...
See you in AI Expo 2013
